Leadership Assessment

Over the years, many organizations have developed 360 degree feedback fatigue, therefore with 25+ years of leadership development and assessment experience, Les has designed a successful and proven self-assessment process. He starts with an input process that allows the individual to identify the results they are trying to achieve as a leader. During this process it is essential to connect each result to internal and external customer needs and identify what challenges exist to in order to achieve the results. Les then uses a research based database to identify what skills are required to overcome the barriers to achieve the results. The unique and significant character of his process, is that each step is customized to create a leadership success model.

Les then utilizes multiple self-assessment instruments to inventory the individual’s skills, determine their leadership style and establish the tactics most commonly used to adjust to changing conditions. Lastly, a
gap-analysis is done to determine missing skills, tactics and style which would best fit the success model. Feedback is then given to the client including an assessment of underused capabilities and overused strengths. Together, Les and the client identify existing leaders targets and potential actions to improve leadership effectiveness and enter into coaching dialogue.

Over the years, Les’ clients have found his leadership success model, gap-analysis and concepts of properly deploying overused strengths to be a powerful set of tools for change and an enormously effective coaching tool. A testament to its effectiveness, a number of clients have found the assessment so accurate and specific that with one or two discussions, they are able to make the adjustments in their leadership actions on their own.
